8 A t The Ranches Academy, student achievement is more than high test scores. Our goal is to have well- rounded students as described in our Desired Results for Student Learning. As a school we focus on students being effective communicators and responsible citizens. Being an effective com- municator includes being capable of integrating and using a variety of communication forms and skills such as: written, verbal, non-verbal, listening, and technology. A responsible citizen demonstrates honesty, courage, integrity, kindness, morality, and respect in interacting with peers, adults, and com- munity members to achieve their highest personal potential in becoming a productive member of the community.
