16 H.B. 45 Stem Program Amendments Rep. V. Peterson H.B. 45 modifies the membership and duties of the STEM Action Center, and gives the SBOE rule-making authority related to the award of STEM education endorsement incentives. It also adds Utah State University Eastern to the list of educational institutions that may partner with a school district or charter school to provide a STEM related certification program. H.B. 48 Election Law Amendments Rep. McCay This bill allows an individual to file as a candidate in a local school board election in the 2016 general election by filing a declaration of candidacy with the county clerk before 5 p.m. H.B. 90 Education Background Check Amendments Rep. Handy This bill clarifies that teachers in private schools receiving state funds must also have a background check. H.B. 147 State Board of Education ModiÞcations Rep. Cutler This bill changes all references in Code from the "State Office of Education" to the "Board of Education." H.B. 155 Reporting of Child Pornography Rep. Hall This bill requires a computer technician who finds child pornography in the course of the technician's work report the finding to law enforcement or the federal cyber tip line for child pornography. The willful failure to report the child pornography is a class B misdemeanor. The bill also provides that an employer may establish a procedure for the computer technician employee to report to a designated employee who will report the child pornography. H.B. 200 Student Assessment ModiÞcations Rep. Poulson The bill allows an LEA, beginning with the 2016-17 school year, to waive the requirement to administer a statewide criterion-referenced test or online computer adaptive test to students in grade 11. H.B. 201 Student Testing Amendments Rep.
