6 Board ! UAPCS Meet our Chris Blea , Board Me Chris Bleak has played an integral role in the passage of several major education reform bills. He has a great ability to collaborate with businesses and stakeholders in the state. Prior to working at the House of Representatives as the Utah State Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the House, Chris worked as the Executive Director of the Utah Republican Party and on the Salt Lake Olympic Committee. Gerry Hassell , Board Me Gerry Hassell is currently a Vice-President Treasury Management Consultant for Banner Bank. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1993 in Business Management with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior. Upon graduating he accepted a management position with Wal-Mart. In 2002 he was offered the Director of Pharmacy Operations’ position in Salt Lake City. Twice he was ranked is a top 5 performer in the company. In 2010 he transitioned into the banking world, covering the Wasatch Front and is now the lead consultant for all Treasury Management Clients in Utah. Brad , Board Me Brad Nelson currently serves as the Director of Finance and Development for Spectrum Academy. Spectrum Academy is the premier charter school in Utah for students with high- functioning autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and others that benefit from a unique learning environment. Brad has been instrumental in guiding Spectrum through the difficult task of growth and expansion. BRAD NELSON, BOARD MEMBER Brad Nelson currently serves as the Director of Finance and Development for Spectrum Academy. STEPHANIE SCHMIDT, UAPCS BOARD MEMBER Stephanie Schmidt attend d Snow College and Utah S ate University, graduating with a degree in Second- ary Education. She served on the Board of Directors for the National Student Association of Community Colleges. In this role, she was an advocate for higher education and lobbied for support from U.S. sena- tors and representatives in Washington, D.C. She taught at Box Elder Middle School. She also taught at a treatment center called Lifeline for Teens. She worked with students struggling with difficulties including behavioral disorders and drug involvement. She is currently the Chair for Early Light Academy's Board of Directors. We provide the most personalized business services and financial analysis to charter schools who value autonomy.
